Sandhya Majithia was born in East Africa to Gujarati-Indian parents. She attended school in Kampala, Uganda until her family migrated to Canada in 1975 due to political instablility in Uganda at the time.

As her father owned and operated two pharmacies prior to the family leaving Africa, Sandhya had been interested in healthcare from a very young age. After graduating from high school in RichmonHill, she received an honours diploma in Dental Assisting from Seneca College. In 2007 she received her Certified Dental Assistant designation from the National Board of Dental Assistant Association.

Sandhya has been working with oral surgeons, orthodontists and general dentists for over two decades. For the past 7 years, she has worked with Dr. F. Bessay and his amazing team at the Quaker Dental Clinic.
